The Fate Gi does not compromise on quality or design, yet comes in at a very affordable £65 / $85 / €80 RRP AND comes with a free white belt. ⁠ ⁠ The concept of FATE is “From Amateur to Expert” and aims to provide day 1 beginners and professional competitors alike a value proposition that makes no compromises. ⁠ ⁠ The gi is sized just like our regular gis and is made of lightweight pearl weave top and light and comfortable cotton twill (not ripstop) pants. ⁠ ⁠ This gi releases on our core stores this Friday at 16:00 and our partner stores will follow on shortly after. Our “Furinkazan” tees in oversized, heavyweight cotton feature the original calligraphic art of Shisamu Iwase, of the A DESIGN LAB creative agency in Japan. ⁠ ⁠ Available in white and black (the black has a very faint wash applied which has faded out the black and the print), this premium t-shirt is adorned with a special crest showing the phrase FURINKAZAN or 風林火山⁠ ⁠ This was a battle standard that flew on flags above the troops of the Sengoku era daimyo, Takeda Shingen. This banner shortens a quote from Sun Tzu, and each kanji signifies an element - wind, forest, fire, mountain. The full meaning of the war cry is “as swift as wind, as gentle as forest, as fierce as fire, as unshakable as mountain”⁠ ⁠ These tees are available in limited quantities and will make a perfect collectors item or gift.

Joao Miyao, alongside his brother Paolo, is one of Joao Miyao, alongside his brother Paolo, is one of the most recognisable names in the sport. It is healthier and feels more comfortable on the skin, while also remaining breathable when you are sweating. It's a pretty weird sport, and it's not until you try to entice somebody new to it, that you realise how odd it is. After Osaka we came to Tokyo and had the great privilege of hosting the camp at Masakazu Imanari’s dojo. This was quite a momentous occasion as the seminar situation in Japan is different to the rest of the world and it is not easy to sell a big seminar. We had 30 to 40 participants on the mat for 5 sessions in a row. Can’t wait for next years Japan camp 🫡
